"Thank you very much!" Recently, a special gift from Shanghai arrived at the Yinhe Community in the Quantang Neighborhood of Changsha County. It was a handwritten postcard and two jars of exquisite nut butter. The letter was sent by two Tunisian friends, Houda Dawahi and Souad Benbelgacem, on behalf of a team of over 20 people, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to Zhou Quan, a grid-based community worker.

“Thank you very much!”近日，一份来自上海的特别礼物抵达长沙县泉塘街道银河社区，是一张手写明信片和两瓶精致的坚果酱。寄件人是两位突尼斯友人：Houda Dawahi 和Souad Benbelgacem。她们代表一行二十余人的团队，向社区工作人员、网格员周全表达了真挚的谢意。

There is a heartwarming story behind this gesture. "Hello, can you help me?" On the morning of November 25, two foreign women, lightly dressed, walked into the Yinhe Community Party-Public Service Center. Noticing their hesitancy, Zhou Quan, who was busy at work, immediately set aside his tasks and approached them with a warm smile, greeting them in English.

这背后，藏着一个温暖的小故事。“Hello, can you help me?”11月25日上午，两位衣着略显单薄的外国女士走进银河社区党群服务中心，神情有些犹豫。正在忙碌的社区工作人员、网格员周全留意到后，立即放下手边工作，微笑着迎上去，用英语主动问候。

Zhou Quan, 37, a returnee from overseas with foreign company experience, is proficient in spoken English. In 2023, he chose to join grassroots community work.

37岁的周全，曾留学海外并有着外企工作经历，有一定的英语口语能力。2023年，他选择加入社区基层工作。

As Changsha County increasingly engages in international exchanges, more and more foreign friends come here for work, business, tourism, and study. The Yinhe Community, surrounded by bustling commercial areas, frequently welcomes international visitors. Previously, Zhou had assisted foreign guests multiple times during his routine neighborhood patrols, offering directions, tourism advice, and more.

随着长沙县对外交流日益深入，外国友人在此工作、经商、旅游、研学的越来越多。银河社区周边商圈繁华，不时能见到其身影。此前，周全在日常下网格时也多次为外国朋友提供过指路、旅游咨询等服务。

This time, he warmly served the women hot tea, used his phone's translation app, and listened patiently. It turned out that the foreign friends were from Tunisia, with Arabic as their native language, and they were not fluent in English. They were part of a team of over 20 people who had come specifically to Changsha County to learn agricultural technology and were staying at a hotel just a few hundred meters from the community.

这一次，他同样热情地泡上热茶，拿出手机翻译软件，耐心地与两人沟通。原来，两位外国友人来自突尼斯，母语是阿拉伯语，英语并不流利。她们是一个二十多人的团队，专程来长沙县学习农业技术，就住在离社区仅几百米的酒店。

It was early winter, and the temperature in Changsha had suddenly dropped. The team had misjudged the weather when packing and hadn't brought enough warm clothing. Even more pressing, they were scheduled to travel to Shanghai the next day to continue their exchange and study. That morning, the two Tunisian ladies decided to scout ahead, hoping to find a large mall to purchase winter clothes and Changsha specialties. However, due to the language barrier, they repeatedly struggled to ask for directions and eventually found themselves at the community service hall.

时值初冬，长沙气温骤降。团队出发时误判了天气，大家都没带够御寒衣服。更紧迫的是，次日他们就要启程前往上海继续交流学习。于是当天上午，两人提出先行探路，想找一家大商场采购冬衣和长沙特产。由于语言不通，问路屡屡受挫，走着走着，便来到社区服务大厅。

Zhou Quan's patience and smile put them at ease. After understanding their situation, Zhou Quan immediately offered to accompany them, and the community head fully supported the idea. The group visited both the Zhongmaocheng and Wanxiucheng malls. On the second floor of the Zhongmaocheng mall, there were numerous down jacket brands with a wide variety of styles, leaving everyone momentarily overwhelmed. Zhou Quan stepped in as a temporary "shopping guide," using simple English and gestures to explain while conveying their needs to the store staff.

周全的耐心与笑容让她们安下心来。了解情况后，周全当即表示可以陪同前往，社区负责人也全力支持。一行人先后来到中茂城和万绣城商场。在中茂城二楼，羽绒服品牌众多，款式琳琅满目，大家一时挑花了眼。周全便当起了临时“导购员”，一边用简单的英语加手势解释，一边向店员转达需求。

"This one, very nice." One of the foreign friends took a liking to a blue down jacket but was unsure about the size. Zhou Quan carefully compared measurements, helped with try-ons, and even discussed color coordination with the group. Amid these warm interactions, clothes were selected and packed one by one.

“This one, very nice。”有位外国友人看中了一件蓝色羽绒服，却拿不准尺码。周全细心比对，帮他试穿，还和大家讨论起颜色搭配。温暖互动中，衣服一件件被选定、打包。

Later, Zhou Quan also took them to purchase authentic Changsha specialties such as chili sauce and stinky tofu. Everyone found items they loved, leaving with bright smiles. After the shopping trip, Zhou Quan escorted them back to their hotel. As they parted, several foreign friends tightly held his hand and repeatedly said in rudimentary Chinese, "The people of Changsha County are very kind! Thank you!"

随后，周全又带他们选购了辣椒酱、臭豆腐等地道长沙特产。每个人都买到了心仪的物品，笑容满面。采购结束，周全将大家送回酒店。临别时，几位外国友人紧紧握住他的手，用不太熟练的中文连连说道：“星沙人很好！谢谢你们！”

The next day, the team successfully arrived in Shanghai. During this brief yet beautiful visit to Changsha, they were deeply touched by the kindness of the city. And so, representing all team members, Houda Dawahi and Souad Benbelgacem  sent a postcard accompanied by two jars of nut butter with hometown flavors, spanning thousands of miles to convey their gratitude.

次日，团队顺利抵达上海。这次短暂却美好的长沙之行，让她们深深记住了这座城市的善意。于是，Houda Dawahi 和 Souad Benbelgacem代表全体成员，精心寄出了那张明信片与两瓶家乡风味的坚果酱，跨越千里，传递谢意。

"I was truly moved when I received the gift," said Zhou Quan. "Though we are small, our community can serve as a window connecting the world. As an ordinary grassroots worker, beyond fulfilling my duties, being able to serve others with heart in an ordinary role is meaningful in itself."

“收到礼物时真的很感动。”周全说，“社区虽小，却能成为连接世界的窗口。作为一名普通的基层工作人员，做好本职工作之外，能在平凡的岗位上用心服务他人，这本身非常有意义。”
