Prof. Xiao Ming, a renowned Chinese conductor and a national first-class conductor, recently embarked on a remarkable artistic exchange journey in Auckland at the invitation of the organizing committee of the "China-New Zealand Young Artists Competition" in New Zealand.

近日，中国著名指挥家、国家一级指挥肖鸣教授应新西兰“中新青年艺术家大赛”组委会邀请，在奥克兰开启了一场意义非凡的艺术交流之旅。

During this visit, Xiao Ming served as a judge for two international competitions, joining a prestigious panel that included the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Auckland, distinguished professors of vocal music and composition from the university's School of Music, as well as renowned vocal professors and doctoral supervisors from the Central Conservatory of Music and the China Conservatory of Music. This elite lineup not only demonstrated the event's international caliber and professional excellence, but also stood as a vivid testament to the profound artistic friendship and close academic collaboration between China and New Zealand.

此次肖鸣担任两场国际赛事的评委，与奥克兰大学副校长、奥克兰大学音乐学院声乐及作曲权威教授，以及中央音乐学院、中国音乐学院的资深声乐教授、博士生导师们组成评审团。这一豪华阵容不仅彰显了大赛的国际规格与专业高度，更成为中新两国深厚艺术友谊与紧密学术交流的生动见证。

A concert for award-winners of the "China-New Zealand Future Artists Competition" was hosted on the evening of July 19. During the event, nearly a thousand audience members were treated to a spectacular musical feast. The event was conducted by Xiao Ming and performed by elite musicians from the Central Conservatory of Music, the China Conservatory of Music, and the Academy of Opera of the Peking University, as well as outstanding artists from New Zealand. 

7月19日晚，“中新未来艺术家大赛”获奖者音乐会上，肖鸣执棒指挥，带领来自中央音乐学院、中国音乐学院、北京大学歌剧研究院的精英以及新西兰本土的杰出音乐家，为近千名观众呈现了一场精彩绝伦的音乐盛宴。

As the familiar melody of "My Motherland and I" swelled through the hall, an emotional resonance was instantly sparked between the musicians onstage and the audience. Spontaneous singing erupted from the audience, forming a mighty tidal wave of sound that engulfed the entire concert hall. 

当《我和我的祖国》熟悉的旋律响起，台上音乐家与台下观众的情感便瞬间共鸣。激昂的歌声从观众席自发而起，汇成磅礴声浪席卷整个音乐大厅。
