湖南省妇联“非洲母亲新农场”亮相全球妇女峰会成果展

Recently, an exhibition showcasing China's progress in digital and intelligent empowerment for women and girls has opened in Beijing as a side event of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women. The "New Farms of African Mothers" project by the Hunan Women's Federation was displayed at the exhibition.

近日，全球妇女峰会配套活动“数智赋能妇女和女童成果展”在北京开幕，湖南省妇联“非洲母亲新农场”项目在成果展上亮相。

The "New Farms of African Mothers" project is a collaborative project jointly launched by the Hunan Women's Federation, various government departments, research institutions, enterprises, and social organizations. Three major programs are planned to be implemented—poverty alleviation for African mothers, women's leadership empowerment, and family care promotion. Moreover, eight actions will be launched, including doubling yields of major crops, expanding the quality and supply chain of the agricultural industry, popularizing agricultural technology and machinery, providing vocational skills training, promoting employment through Chinese language education, cultivating female role models, implementing the "beautiful home, beautiful woman" civilization initiative, and launching the "China-Africa Children Hand in Hand" program. Officially launched in Madagascar this September, the "New Farms of African Mothers" Initiative focuses on agricultural technology research and development, high-yield seed breeding, and mechanized production.

“非洲母亲新农场”项目，是省妇联联合政府部门、科研院校、企业和社会组织共同发起的一项合作项目，将实施非洲母亲减贫、女性引领赋能、家庭促进关爱等三大工程，以及主要作物产量倍增、农业产业提质扩链、农技农机普及推广、职业技能提升培训、汉语赋能促进就业、女性典型示范引领、美家美妇文明创建、中非儿童心手相牵等八大行动。“非洲母亲新农场”今年9月在马达加斯加正式落地，重点合作方向为农业科技研发、良种选育、机械化生产等。

During the "New Farms of African Mothers" training program, a 29-year-old Malagasy female farmer mastered scientific seedling cultivation and field management, gaining the skills to better select and use seeds. Thanks to her new skills, the seedlings in her fields are now thriving.

在“非洲母亲新农场”培训中，29岁的马达加斯加农民学习了科学育秧和田间管理方法，学会了更好地选择和使用种子。培训后，她家田里的秧苗如今长势喜人。

To date, the project has helped 1,150 African women secure employment, provided skills training to 1,862 individuals, and brought initial improvements to the living conditions of 950 households.

截至目前，该项目已帮助1150名非洲妇女获得了就业机会，1862人接受了技能培训，950个家庭的生活条件得到了初步改善。
