当米奇·盖顿在《歌手2025》的舞台上唱完《If I Were a Boy》后,她不禁潸然泪下。

When Mickey Guyton finished singing If I Were a Boy on stage of Singer 2025, she couldn't hold back her tears. The country music songstress from Texas, U.S., who was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards—the first black woman to receive such a nomination—felt a long-lost sincerity in the unreserved emotional feedback from Chinese audiences.

"In the U.S., we're used to keeping emotions hidden deep inside. But in China, audiences laugh when they want to laugh, cry when they want to cry—regardless of gender. That pure outpouring of emotion is so beautiful," said Mickey Guyton, "Music can 1000% build a bridge for cultural exchange between China and the United States."
